At Terrena, we are proud to celebrate the incredible work of our Director, Gemma, whose passion and personal experiences have driven meaningful impact in support of Nottingham Women’s Centre.
Earlier this year, Gemma brought her vision to life by creating the “Celebrating Her” Ball, held over the International Women’s Day weekend. Inspired by her own journey, she wanted to create an event that not only celebrates women but also raises vital awareness and funds for the centre.
The evening was a huge success, with over 300 people in attendance. It was a powerful and uplifting event, bringing together a community in recognising women’s strength, resilience, and achievements.
Gemma’s commitment didn’t stop there.
She went on to take on the challenge of running the London Marathon, using the opportunity to continue raising funds and shining a spotlight on the essential work of Nottingham Women’s Centre. So far, an incredible £7,290 has been raised, a testament to the generosity and support of the wider community.
Last week, Gemma visited the centre to meet with the women and team, celebrating the success of the fundraising efforts and reflecting on the difference this support will make. It was also an opportunity to begin conversations about future plans and how this partnership can continue to grow.
This is just the beginning.
